Women are getting their dark circles tattooed away with permanent under-eye concealer in bizarre new trend

February 6, 2019

And now there's a new treatment available for those of us blighted by dark circles – which will banish your under-eye bags for good.

The permanent under-eye concealer trend, which was pioneered by Brazilian tattoo artist Rodolpho Torres, was brought to our attention by Glamour magazine.

Rodolpho specialises in camouflaging skin conditions like stretch marks and vitiligo – using skin tones pigments to cover up areas people might be self-conscious about.

Speaking to Spa + Clinic Australia, Rodolpho revealed he uses a small handheld device to detect and customise the ink to each client's skin tone.

He then tattoos the permanent ink onto the person's skin, which he insists will not become stained in sunlight.

GOODBYE UNDEREYE CIRCLES!!! Did you know Permanence Beauty specializes in skin pigmentation corrections? So many of us hide our under eye circles with concealer and foundation, but without makeup they always reappear! Permamant makeup to conceal under eye circles is the perfect fix! How this works; skin colored pigments are implanted into the 1st layer of skin under the eye, camouflaging the appearance of dark circles or fine veins (which appear blue-ish in color). Great for men, women or anyone who is insecure with their dark under eye circles! An initial session and touchup 6-8 weeks post is required for optional results. #permanentmakeup #skintreatment #skincorrection #darkeyecircles #undereyetreatment #skincamouflage #undereyefiller #undereyetattoo #darkcircles #skinfix #yyc #calgary #cosmetics #skin #concealer #permanentconcealer #skincorrections #camoflauging #beauty #makeup #makeupartist #undereyecorrection #micropigmentation #pandaeye #goodbyedarkcircles #darkcircleremover #medicaltreatment #cosmetictattooing #medicalmakeup #hudabeauty

good bye panda treatment Dark Circle "Camouflage" underneath the eyes is a patented technology. I have used it for over 2 years now. I found a great number of people suffer from this problem under the eye area and there is currently no medical or cosmetic application that can solve this problem. "Permanent Concealer" is a method We have developed which places pigment just under the first layer of skin and is not visible to the eye, however this corrective pigment which cannot be seen in the background shows through the vessels and thus the darkness under the eyes is not then apparent. In addition, the procedure of placing pigmentation in areas under your eyes can have a lot of appeal as it also smoothes out fine wrinkles and smoothes the overall appearance of the surface of the skin. The effect of this treatment usually lasts 3 years or more We offer 50% for client who are allowed us to share their pictures on my social media. Want to know more? Other salons offer semi-permanent tattoos, similar to those you get from microblading and other long-term make-up treatments.

Sadly for those of us who feel permanently sleep deprived, the treatment isn't available in the UK yet.

And, if it is introduced, it's likely to be brought in as a semi-permanent procedure – which would mean two sessions to start, followed by top-ups every two to three years.

As this is a brand new procedure, it's hard to know what the long-term results will be.

One of the reasons we get under-eye bags in the first place is that this skin ages quicker than other parts of the face, meaning your bags could sag over time.

If you had a permanent tattoo, this could be left in the wrong place if the skin did sag, which obviously isn't ideal.
