A THRIFTY woman managed to transform her ‘tiny’ back garden into a calming oasis with a lick of paint and some B&M bargains.

With Brits staying inside due to the coronavirus pandemic, those lucky enough to have gardens or balconies are making full use of them.

So with the UK now in lockdown, Clare Clitheroe-Park‎ decided to tackle her "tiny" yard, turning the rundown space into an enviable garden.

She rolled up her sleeves and gave walls a lick of paint, restored her wooden gate and added a roof from corrugated plastic with fairy lights.

Clare picked up some accessories from B&M, including some outdoor furniture, lanterns and some funky wall hangings.

And the highlight of the garden is now a hammock, which will be perfect for the summer.

She shared snaps of her makeover to Facebook group DIY On A Budget UK, where her incredible makeover has been liked more than 5,000 times.

Clare said: “My tiny yard before and after. All done by me and my husband.”

After her post received so much praise, Clare revealed where she got her incredible decor from and how she created it.

She added: “I just built a frame on the concrete and that evened it out then just normal decking and painted in ronseal dark oak.

“Since a few are asking where the decorations are from they are all from B&M including the hammock and sofa set.

“I was overwhelmed the other day with all the likes and comments of my transformed garden. Here is the final end result!”

Hundreds of people commented on her post, with one person saying: “That will be so relaxing hearing the rain sitting under there.”

Another wrote: “What a gorgeous outdoor space you have now.”

A third said: “What a dramatic change in such a small space! Well done.”

Someone else thought: “Looks awesome! What a transformation.”

Another added: “Lovely job sit back and enjoy the summer.”

While somebody else commented: "Love all weather garden."
