My 'hot girl walk' workout is so easy – it helped Kylie Jenner lose her pregnancy weight, Sofia Ritchie's a fan too | The Sun
August 10, 2023THE Hot Girl Walk has taken the internet by storm, with loyal followers of the trend posting their low-impact workouts.
Even Kylie Jenner and Sofia Richie are fans — and the TikToker who kicked the whole thing off has told The U.S. Sun how she helped it go global.
Mia Lind, 24, said she came up with the fitness idea during the pandemic when gyms were closed due to Covid.
"I started calling it the Hot Girl Walk because, at the time, walking was very much seen as something that your mom made you do after dinner.
"I remember everyone was talking about how during Covid, everyone's parents were making everyone go on walks," she said.
Mia's "aha moment" came along once she realized all the compliments she received once returning from her post-dinner walks.
"When I would come back from my hot girl walks I'd feel really good and my parents would always be like: 'Oh my gosh, you're in such a good mood when you come back from these walks.'
"So I started to call them my Hot Girl Walks because I felt like a hot girl when I came back," she said.
Mia decided to take her idea to the internet, where it quickly went viral.
She posted about it on TikTok and even launched an official website.

"The Hot Girl Walk is a four-mile outdoor walk where you focus on three things: What you're grateful for, your goals and how you're going to achieve them, how hot you are," reads the site.
Mia said she felt the impact of the trend — not just on people's physical fitness but their moods, too.
"I get messages all the time from people who are going through real mental health challenges saying: 'I got out of bed for the first time in months to go on a Hot Girl Walk.'
"It's just so incredible to see how this just can be that one thing that is someone's method of getting through something really challenging," she said.
Hot Girl Walks have also caught the attention of celebrities including reality star Kylie Jenner, 25, and Sofia Richie, 24.
Kylie revealed on Instagram that her postpartum fitness routine consisted of going for walks as well as the 12-3-30 treadmill workout.
She famously lost 40 lbs in three months through her "favorite combination" of walking and pilates.
Sofia, meanwhile, prepared for her wedding by walking.
She told Instagram followers: "I try to walk for at least an hour every single day."
Though the Hot Girl Walk went viral when the world shut down, it's very much still a go-to for women who want to stay active.
Most recently, in March of 2023, Mia took the Hot Girl Walk to the fitness app Strava, encouraging more people to participate globally.
Strava users were encouraged to try the Hot Girl Walk for International Women’s Day, with the app donating to GRLS and the ONSIDE Fund.
