Meghan Markle latest news – Prince Harry 'unhappy with self-serving Duchess who shredded family', Piers Morgan suggests

March 30, 2021

PRINCE Harry is "trying to keep up" with Meghan Markle after bagging his new corporate jobs, a celebrity agent claims.

The revelation comes as Diana is still the firm favourite in bookmaker Coral's betting, at 5-1, to be the name of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's second child.

Alexandria (8-1) is the second favourite, with Rose proving a popular pick too by punters and now the 10-1 third favourite for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to choose from their second child.

"Over 50% of the bets we have taken so far on the latest Royal baby have been on Diana to be the name, and it is the clear favourite in the market," said Coral spokesman Harry Aitkenhead.

"Alexandria and Rose have been two popular picks too, second and third in the market, whilst the likes of Emma, Grace and Daisy are in the mix too," added Aitkenhead.

It comes after the mother of a friend of Meghan claimed the Duchess was "obsessed" with Princess Diana as a child, endlessly re-watching footage of Di's royal wedding in the early 1980s, according to the Mirror.

School pal Suzy Ardakani's mum Sonia said "The girls didn’t just think she [Diana] was glamorous. They were impressed by her humanitarian work and they started following her example.

“I videoed Diana’s wedding back in 1981, and I would watch it with Suzy and Meghan all those years later," she added according to the Daily Star.

MEGHAN & HARRY 'KEEP OVERSHADOWING' OTHER ROYALS', CLAIMS EXPERT

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle keep "overshadowing other royals in a pattern," a royal expert has claimed.

Daniela Elser claimed that the Sussexs overshadowed Princess Eugenie's birthday last week.

She told News.Au: "Poor Princess Eugenie. Sure she's got an adoring, perpetually ruddy-faced husband who looks like he's head-over-heels in love with her and an adorable new baby, having introduced son August to the world last month. But jeepers, the 31-year-old just can’t quite catch a break.

"This week she celebrated her birthday, a fact Buckingham Palace marked by sharing social media posts that went so far as to include not one but two emojis, the Windsor-equivalent to shouting with glee from the rooftops.

"However, whatever brief moment basking in the public sun Eugenie might have had was dashed given the very same day, The Wall Street Journal revealed her cousin Prince Harry had gone out and done the previously unthinkable: He’d gotten a job."

SHARON O SEEKS 'SEVEN-FIGURE' TV PAYOUT AFTER FALLOUT OVER SUPPORT FOR PIERS

Her departure from hit US TV show The Talk is a travesty but I’m told Sharon Osbourne’s wrangle with CBS chiefs is far from over and a financial battle is “ongoing”.

And US TV sources tell say Sharon is now turning the screw on show bosses to make sure she is paid every last penny owed to her after agreeing to walk without further drama.

It is believed she is after a sum well into seven figures. The source added: “Sharon is livid — a lot of what is being said is total nonsense, but she wanted to be away from the drama and agreed it was time to step away.

"She is adamant she is still owed money, though, and won’t let that go. A quick departure with no further fuss would suit everyone but she isn’t giving in on the cash.”

Sinitta, 52, believes that their mutual friend Simon, 61, is now in a difficult position having worked with both TV personalities in the past.

Meanwhile, Sharon was a judge on singing competition The X Factor between 2008 and 2018 – but Sinitta thinks that Simon will be unable to have either star back in the future.

Admitting that it will be a tough situation for the "loyal" star, she explained "I think Simon would be in a difficult position because he won’t stand for and he doesn't support any form of racism.

"I think it could be tricky for him if he were planning to work with them."

Sinitta concluded to Metro: "I know it will be hard because he wants to stand up for what he believes in, but he's also a very loyal friend."

SIMON COWELL IN 'TRICKY POSITION' AFTER PIERS MORGAN & SHARON OSBOURNE'S EXPLOSIVE TV EXITS OVER MEGHAN

Simon Cowell is in a "tricky position" after Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne's explosive TV exits over Meghan Markle, his ex Sinitta has claimed.

His two pals sensationally quit their respective shows after becoming embroiled in a racism storm earlier this month following Meghan and Prince Harry's bombshell Oprah interview.

Piers, 55, stormed off Good Morning Britain and later quit the programme after causing shockwaves by claiming that he didn't believe the Duchess' accusations of racism in Buckingham Palace, or her suicidal thoughts.

And 68-year-old Sharon dramatically left The Talk after she clashed with her co-star Sheryl Underwood by defending Piers on the US show.

    'MARMITE' MEGHAN

A CHARITY says it kept a £10,000 donation from "marmite" Meghan Markle secret because it feared she could cause "reputational damage".

The Duchess of Sussex donated the cash in August to Himmah – an organisation which runs a food bank in Nottingham and works to tackle racism and poverty.

Now, the group's director Sajid Mohammad admits he kept the gift quiet because he was worried that people did not like Meghan after she and Prince Harry quit their roles as senior royals last year.

However, following her bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, Mr Mohammad said he realised the charity needed to show its support for the Duchess.

    RACISM FEARS

A MAJORITY of ethnic minority Britons believe the Royal Family IS racist, a new YouGov survey shows.

The poll also found that 43 per cent of non-white voters want to abolish the monarchy despite 67 per cent having a "positive" view of the Queen.

This comes after Meghan Markle's bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey in which she claimed a member of the royals asked "how dark" her unborn son's skin would be.

A total of 43 per cent think the Windsors are "racist" compared to 27 per cent who don't while 30 per cent said they "don't know."

Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Piers explained the comments he made on the show in the hours after Meghan and Harry's interview aired, and his reasons for leaving.

The Duke of Sussex, 36, recently revealed his new role as an executive at a Silicon Valley start-up firm.

Jonathan Shalit claims the royal may have taken up corporate gigs to compete with 39-year-old Meghan.

He told The Telegraph: "So for Harry to keep up with his wife, he's got to find his own name and identity and this is the start.

    PIERS BLASTS MEGHAN

PIERS Morgan has branded Meghan Markle a “fake virtue-signalling hypocrite” as he blasted Oprah Winfrey for failing to challenge the Duchess during their explosive interview.

The former Good Morning Britain host, 55, also accused the Duchess of Sussex of “ruthlessly exploiting her royal titles for financial gain”.

Piers, who walked on GMB after refusing to apologise for not believing Meghan during her chat with Oprah, slammed the chat-show host for not pushing back when the couple made bombshell claims about the royal family.

PIERS MORGAN SLAMS ‘RUTHLESS’ DUCHESS… CONTINUED

Piers Morgan in his latest MailOnline column added: “I quit my UK breakfast show Good Morning Britain after refusing to apologise for disbelieving Meghan Markle's disingenuous load of fact-devoid baloney in her lengthy Oprah whine-athon with Prince Harry, much of which has now been proved to be untrue.”

It comes after Piers branded Meghan a “whiny, privileged, hypocritical celebrity who exploits victimhood to suppress free speech”.

Writing in the Mail on Sunday, Piers explained the comments he made on the show in the hours after Meghan and Harry's interview aired, and his reasons for leaving.

He also discussed the aftermath of that decision, including the fact his good friend Sharon Osbourne subsequently quit US show The Talk after she defended him.

    PIERS MORGAN SLAMS 'RUTHLESS' DUCHESS

Piers Morgan has branded Meghan Markle a “fake virtue-signalling hypocrite” as he blasted Oprah Winfrey for failing to challenge her during her explosive interview.

The former Good Morning Britain host, 55, also accused the Duchess of Sussex of “ruthlessly exploiting her royal titles for financial gain”.

Piers hit back at the couple – and CBS which aired the show – after the Sussexes' claims were left unchallenged, leaving the world to assume everything they said was fact.

In his latest MailOnline column, he wrote: “Oprah Winfrey barely challenged a word her two friends said, leaving Americans and the woefully gullible US media to assume every sensational bombshell of self-serving tittle-tattle was fact when much of it wasn't."

He added: “It's true that having once been friendly with [Meghan], I've been very critical of her in the past three years because I believe she's a fake virtue-signalling hypocrite who ruthlessly exploits her royal titles for financial gain."

ROYAL SCARE FOR MEGHAN & HARRY… CONTINUED

The Sussexes' security scare emerged a week after Prince Harry complained to Oprah that the Royal Family had cut off his police protection after he quit royal duties.

The Duke of Sussex said that, after learning his security would be taken away, he quickly realised he needed to find a source of income for his family.

Speaking to Oprah about the Netflix streaming deal, the 36-year-old said: "We didn't have a plan. That was suggested by somebody else by the point of where my family literally cut me off financially, and I had to afford security for us."

Prince Harry said his own father Prince Charles had stopped taking his calls for a time and that he had been cut off financially at the start of 2020.

He said: "I've got what my mum left me, and without that, we would not have been able to do this."

ROYAL SCARE FOR MEGHAN & HARRY

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's California posh mansion was invaded twice by an intruder over Christmas, recent reports claim.

Cops arrested the alleged trespasser after he was allegedly caught for the second time in three days in a shocking breach of royal security.

TMZ reported the intruder was first caught trespassing at the couple's 11-bedroom pad in Montecito on Christmas Eve.

He was caught there again on December 26, law enforcement sources told the celebrity gossip site.

Suspect Nickolas Brooks, 37, had driven all the way from Ohio, according to reports. It was unclear whether the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were at home at the time. He has been charged with one count of misdemeanour trespassing.

PRINCE PHILIP 'DID KNOW ABOUT OPRAH INTERVIEW'

Prince Philip is likely to have known about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's Oprah interview and will have had "fruity words" to say about it, a royal correspondent has claimed.

The Duke of Edinburgh, 99, was in hospital undergoing treatment for his heart when Meghan and Harry went on TV to speak about their time as senior royals.

The Times' royal correspondent Roya Nikkhah has said the Queen still speaks to her husband about family matters, adding that he "would have known a lot of what was going on".

    EMOJI QUEEN

Meghan Markle's pal accidentally sent the duchess a voice memo complaining that she sent too many emojis, it has been claimed.

The awkward incident allegedly soured the pair's relationship forcing the duchess and her friend to drift apart.

"One of Meghan's British friends fell out with her because Meghan was writing all these messages with loads of emojis," a source told the Daily Mail.

"The friend dictated a WhatsApp voice note saying, 'God, Meghan is so annoying with all her emojis, she keeps sending me all these emojis'."

But it was claimed the message was accidentally sent to Meghan herself.

    SEVEN-FIGURE SALARY FOR PRINCE HARRY?

Prince Harry is chief impact officer at BetterUp, a mental health services business worth £1.25billion.

The Duke will help promote an app used by corporate giants including Facebook to improve staff wellbeing.

Users scroll through profiles of therapists and life coaches — just like dating app Tinder — and select a match.

Alexi Robichaux, CEO of the Silicon Valley start-up, also revealed the Duke decided to drop his royal titles in the workplace – while keeping his salary and working hours a secret.

Similar roles at California firms can command six or seven-figure salaries.

MEG & HARRY FANS TELL ROYAL REPORTER TO ‘DRINK HERSELF TO DEATH’… CONTINUED

Camilla Tominey, the Daily Telegraph’s associate editor, also wrote of the horrific trolling by fans of the Sussexes: “Having a hind thicker than a rhino’s, it wasn’t the repeated references to my being ‘a total c***’ that particularly bothered me, nor even the suggestion that I should have my three children put up for adoption.

“At one point someone even said it would be a good idea for me to drink myself to death like my mother, about whose chronic alcoholism I have written extensively.”

She touched on how much she has been “taken aback by the vitriol on social media” after the couple’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

Harry and Meghan stunned the world when they accused the palace of racism after claiming a member of the family questioned how dark Archie’s skin would be.

MEG & HARRY FANS TELL ROYAL REPORTER TO 'DRINK HERSELF TO DEATH'

A royal reporter has described how vile Meghan Markle and Prince Harry trolls told her to drink herself to death and put her kids up for adoption.

Camilla Tominey, the Daily Telegraph’s associate editor, penned a piece in which she claimed cruel keyboard warriors sent hate mail to her home after she wrote stories on the couple.

She revealed that she had been branded a “total c***” and verbally attacked by people on social media “supposedly defending the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s ‘truth’."

Some trolls even urged her to “drink herself to death like her mother did”.

Tominey said: “Royal reporters like me now find themselves in the line of fire like never before” and that even her pals are being trolled on Instagram “by association”.

SUSSEXES 'OVERSHADOW OTHER ROYALS' – COMMENTATOR

Royal writer Daniela Elser continues in her opinion piece on the Sussexes taking other Royals' thunder: "No matter the why or how here, the consequences of the royal family and the Sussexes’ collectively having the bad habit of making news nearly concurrently, and thus cannibalising one another’s thunder, is dire.

"The currency the Windsors and the Sussexes both traffic in and need when it comes to their do-goodery is media coverage and social media attention.

"In an ideal world, various HRHs would pop out, and say, cheerfully open a lighthouse in Wales (Princess Anne) or visit a charity that gives underprivileged kids crystals (Harry) on totally different days, thus ensuring maximum exposure for each engagement and thus maximum charitable impact.

"The problem here, if you happen to be a Buckingham Palace courtier, is that sending one of your earnest HRHs off on some dull-as-dishwater outingis always going to come a distant second in terms of public and press interest if the dazzling Sussexes happen to be up to something far, far more interesting around the same time."

MEGHAN AND HARRY 'OVERSHADOW EUGENIE'… CONTINUED

Royal writer Daniela Elser also said in her opinion piece: "This is not the first time that a Sussex announcement has inadvertently stolen some of the poor old Eugenie’s thunder.

"It has been reported that Harry and his wife Meghan the Duchess of Sussex told his family that she was expecting their first child at Eugenie’s 2018 wedding.

"The move, 'did not go down particularly well with Eugenie, who a source said told friends she felt the couple should have waited to share the news,' according to last year’s biography of the Sussexes, Finding Freedom.

Also, on "May 19, 2019 when the Sussexes’ released previously unseen images of their wedding in the early hours of the morning to mark their first anniversary.

"Kensington Palace chose the same day to reveal that Kate was designing a garden for the Chelsea Flower Show and to debut a number of images of the royal."
