Meghan and Harry latest news – Sister's EXPLOSIVE new tell-all book 'leaves Duchess sick to stomach' fearing backlash

January 15, 2021

Netflix bosses refused to allow The Duke and Duchess of Sussex any editorial control or input on shows outside of their own $112 million deal, The Sun can reveal.

It means that Prince Harry cannot ask Netflix executives to scrap scenes from their biggest show The Crown – which is set to feature storylines about his childhood and his mother's death – from their upcoming seasons five and six.

Furthermore the California based couple will not be consulted about commissioning shows which may be deemed "anti Royal or have negative connotations for their wider family and friends" a Netflix insider revealed.

A Netflix insider revealed the network had enjoyed a "relatively easy negotiation with the Sussexes" as they thrashed out their multi-million deal – which led to Meghan being labelled the "new Kim Kardashian".

The source added: "The Sussexes were more concerned and consumed about their own image and ideas rather than what else was being screened on Netflix."

Meghan and Harry 'taking away free speech' with 'woke agenda'

Harry and Meghan have been accused of not supporting free speech, after their announcement that their new podcast Archewell is partnering with the UCLA Centre For Critical Internet Inquiry (C2i2), a research centre working towards liberating the internet from hate speech.

British conservative commentator Toby Young hit out at the couple, accusing the Duke of aligning with people he alleges are "hard-left political activists".

Mr Young, who co-founded the Free Speech Union in February 2020, told the Express: "As a member of the Royal Family, Harry should be standing up for fundamental British values, such as the right to free speech.

"[He should not be] aligning himself with people who want to take that right away from people they disagree with."

THE QUEEN AND PRINCE PHILIP RECEIVE THE COVID-19 VACCINE

In other royal news the Queen and Prince Philip have been given their first Covid jabs.

They had their initial dose of the vaccine, made by Oxford-AstraZeneca, from a doctor at Windsor Castle.

Insiders said the Queen, 94, and Philip, 99, had been happy to wait their turn.

They then accepted an offer to receive it at the end of the week as they both met government age guidelines.

A doctor from the Royal Household visited to administer the jab mid-morning after the couple sat down for breakfast.

MEGHAN AND HARRY HAVE 'DEALT WITH FOUR MAJOR ISSUES A YEAR SINCE MEGXIT'

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have dealt with the four biggest issues ahead of the 12-month Megxit review, a source has revealed.

They claimed the pair have already settled the most pressing concerns about their life away from the royal family.

When Harry and Meghan stepped down as working royals last year, it was on the condition that the prince would meet with the Queen at a later date to discuss how the arrangement was working.

That was due to be on March 31 this year, but as a terrifying mutant Covid strain ravages the UK, a ban on non-essential travel has been imposed.

However a source told Newsweek: "The 12-month review was mostly a period of time when the transition could take place.

"The biggest things that were part of it were around financial independence, household support and staff, security and housing – all of which have been dealt with."

MEGA FANS REQUEST GAINT CAKE OF MEGHAN AND HARRY

A mega royal fan asked for a life-sized Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cake, with baker Lara Mason sharing the end result online.

The absurd cake order came just ahead of the Megxit anniversary, with yesterday marking one whole year since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced they were stepping down as senior members of the royal family.

In a clip she shared on TikTok, Lara – who makes "insane" cakes – reenacted a phone conversion she had with the mystery person who made the unusual order.

Admitting it "was NOT" easy", she took on the challenge and produced an incredible edible display which mimics a recognisable snap taken of the couple from their engagement announcement in 2017.

MEGHAN AND HARRY 'FOLLOW EACH OTHER ON SOUNDCLOUD'

Harry and Meghan claim they have left social media – but they failed to delete their SoundCloud accounts.

The royal couple revealed Archewell Foundation will not have Twitter or Facebook accounts.

Meghan has claimed she is not on social media and says she was the most trolled person of 2019.

But the pair still follow each other on their Soundcloud accounts online – where users share music.

Meghan, 39, used the profile name Bogart&Guy and has 48 followers – including her hubby.

The account – which includes Joni Mitchell and Etta James was named after her pet dogs.

The Sussexes, now based in Santa Barbara, California, are thought to have sent over a thoughtful card, as well as gifts to their sister-in-law.

Describing how he had a "scoop" for James, the star continued: "It was very, very quick – don't totally quote me on it – but it looked like he's wearing a ponytail.

MEGHAN AND HARRY LAUNCH BID TO CREATE THEIR OWN COMEDY SHOWS

Harry and Meghan could be laughing all the way to the bank — by creating their own comedy shows.

The couple want to make and sell funny programmes along with dramas and thrillers.

Animations and children’s series could also feature if the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are granted permission to establish a TV and film company.

They have already signed money-spinning deals with streaming channels Netflix and Spotify for documentaries and podcasts.

Now they have filed documents with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office for trademark protection for Archewell Productions.

A source said: “Meghan and Harry’s approach to their TV ambitions has always been serious — but it’s hard to imagine them coming up with the next Only Fools and Horses.”

NETFLIX 'BANNED MEGHAN AND HARRY FROM CONTROLLING ANTI-ROYAL SHOWS'

Netflix bosses refused to allow The Duke and Duchess of Sussex any editorial control or input on shows outside of their own $112 million deal, The Sun can reveal.

It means that Prince Harry cannot ask Netflix executives to scrap scenes from their biggest show The Crown – which is set to feature storylines about his childhood and his mother's death – from their upcoming seasons five and six.

Furthermore the California based couple will not be consulted about commissioning shows which may be deemed "anti Royal or have negative connotations for their wider family and friends" a Netflix insider revealed.

The revelation comes in the wake of Netflix receiving backlash over its recent series four of The Crown both for its portrayal of the Prince and Princess Of Wales' fights and infidelity alongside a bulimia storyline, which carried audience warnings.

A Netflix insider revealed the network had enjoyed a "relatively easy negotiation with the Sussexes" as they thrashed out their multi-million deal – which led to Meghan being labelled the "new Kim Kardashian".

Harry admitted the brothers were on "different paths".

But Royal expert Katie Nicholl told Entertainment Tonight: "Fast forward to today, the relationship is much better than it was.

MEGHAN AND HARRY MAY MISS QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY DUE TO THE PANDEMIC

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry may not attend the Queen's 95th birthday parade due to the Covid pandemic.

The pair, who now live in LA, have been invited to attend as it's both a "family occasion" and an official event.

The Queen invited the pair to her celebrations on June 12, in the first royal reunion since Megxit.

But a source close to the couple told the Telegraph: "It's a little presumptuous for any of us to be speculating about whether we can travel anywhere this summer."

They distanced the pair from reports saying they had "set their sights on a return to Britain" and attending "lots of family events".

    KATE ENJOYED 'LOW-KEY' BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS

The Duchess of Cambridge is said to have enjoyed “low-key” celebrations at Anmer Hall in Norfolk with husband Prince William and their three children, George, Charlotte, and Louis last weekend.

Kate turned 39 on January 9.

US Weekly claimed Kate was “showered with gifts” by William, including a pair of diamond earrings.

It comes in stark contrast to Kate's 38th birthday, which was said to be "ruined" by Meghan and Harry's decision to step down as senior royals.

Royal author Phil Dampier said that Kate's special day has undoubtedly been wrecked by Meghan and Harry's news.

Since he quit the Royal Family and moved to LA with Meghan Markle, royal fans have enjoyed seeing a more causal side to Prince Harry.

MEGHAN WILL USE TROOPING THE COLOUR TO 'UP FASHION GAME'

Meghan Markle “will use Trooping the Colour, which will be their first trip to the UK since Megxit, to up her fashion game,” predicts a celebrity podcaster and beauty influencer.

Scott McGlynn exclusively told The Sun Online: “With Kate stealing the title of 2020’s best dressed Royal, Meghan may choice to steal the limelight by using fashion and beauty as her ‘secret weapon’, to ensure all eyes are on her.

"Meghan knows how many people will be tuning in and she will want to make this engagement as impactful as possible, just like she did on their ‘farewell tour’ of Britain in March 2020.

"It is well known in her inner circle that she wants to be known as a ‘global style icon’ and she will likely use the opportunity to her advantage.

"Especially on the balcony at Trooping the Colour – Harry and Meghan will be sidelined by other senior Royals in terms of ranking order, so she will leave no stone unturned to stand out."

Fergie, who has previously penned children’s books, added that she drew on “many parallels to my own life” for her first adult novel.
