Join our Fabulous Challenge trek to raise money fo Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust in the post-Covid trip of a lifetimeJuly 26, 2020
THIS January, we announced that the 2020 Fabulous Challenge would be a little different.
Launching back in 2014, our annual treks have raised £1.2million in aid of CoppaFeel!.
We’re now teaming up with the amazing charity Jo’s Cervical Cancer Trust to bring you a new adventure.
Our next trek will take place in the ancient desert city of Petra in Jordan, and we want you to join us.
This year’s global pandemic has meant we’ve moved the eight-day trek to March 14-21, 2021 – when it’ll be back, bigger and better than ever.
This will give readers who have already signed up more time to fund-raise and train, and it also means that there’s still time for you to join if you’d like to take part.
We’re aiming to fly between 50 and 100 of you out to walk through Jordan with us and our celebrity team leaders.
If you need something to look forward to once life gets back to normal post-Covid, then this challenge could be the perfect solution.
On this 47-mile hike to Petra, you’ll journey through mountainous valleys and vast deserts before reaching the iconic ancient city, which is carved into rose-pink mountains and dates back to 300BC.
You’ll have the chance to relax in the restorative waters of the Dead Sea, and will even get to sleep under the stars in a Bedouin campsite.
If that isn’t exciting enough, we’re going to be revealing special celebrity guests later this year, who will be with you every step of the way.
Past famous faces who have taken part in our treks include Chloe Madeley, Vicky Pattison, Frankie Bridge and Nadia Sawalha.
All funds raised will go to Jo’s, which was founded 20 years ago by James
Maxwell, whose wife Jo tragically died of cervical cancer in 1999, aged 40.
The charity has worked tirelessly since then to raise awareness of the disease, which affects 3,200 women in the UK each year.
Smear test numbers are at an all-time low, so Fabulous is delighted to be
partnering with Jo’s to raise its profile and spread the message about the
amazing work it does.
So come on – what are you waiting for?
Sign up now!
To take part you need to be physically fit and willing to raise at least £2,995 for Jo’s Trust.
Head to Jostrust.org.uk/fabulous now to apply and for full itinerary details of the trek, plus T&Cs.
But hurry, applications close at 11.59pm on August 7, 2020.
If selected, you will also need to pay a £375 registration fee to secure your place.
