I’m a vet tech – I rated 4 dogs, including the surprising ‘devil,’ a ‘big baby’ and a ‘bitey’ breed | The Sun
May 4, 2023A VETERINARIAN technician has shared her opinions on four popular dog breeds.
The canine expert used her personal experience to rate the animals on a scale of one to 10.
TikTok user Abby (@curly.abby) explained in her video that she was rating the breeds based on her experience in a "vet setting."
According to the TikToker, Chihuahuas can be a hit or a miss when it comes to vet visits.
She rated the tiny breed a five out of 10 as a patient at a veterinary clinic.
"They are either an angel or the devil. They are either super nice or super not nice but the nice ones are great," Abby told her followers.
Next, the influencer shared her thoughts on the Newfoundland breed.
She said: "Newfoundlands are awesome, 10 out of 10. They’re so chill about everything.
"They never feel anything, they never feel when I give them a shot or put a thermometer up their butt, awesome dogs," Abby explained.
Next, the content creator detailed why she gave dachshunds a seven out of 10 rating.

She said: "Dachshunds are usually kind of bitey but it’s not out of aggressiveness, they just don’t like what we’re doing to them, and I don’t blame them.
"They’re good dogs relatively. Also, about 80 percent of the dachshunds I’ve met are super overweight. Don’t let your weiner get overweight, it causes so many problems," Abby said.
Finally, the vet explained why rating Great Danes is a "tough" call for her.
"Great Danes are good dogs but they’re really big babies, just big puppies," she told viewers.
The expert added: "It’s kind of hard to maintain them when they’re so large. Vet-wise, six out of 10."
TikTok users took to the comments section to share their thoughts on Abby's ratings.
"That’s actually the most flattering chihuahua rating I’ve seen. I’d agree, five out of 10. (And I’m a chihuahua mom)," wrote one viewer.
Another follower said: "I was mad at your Great Dane rating until I remembered you're a vet tech."
"I've got a Newfoundland and you are speaking facts on them," commented a third person.
