Carly, who is from the US and goes by the acronym @nurse.carly, took to TikTok where she shared an educational video for parents across the globe.
She captioned the post: "How to burp your newborn, from a postpartum nurse!"
In the clip, she begins by explaining how you firstly need to create the "c" hold supporting your baby chin.
She then explains: "Gently lean baby forward, spine should be straight and body weight is well support by the opposite hand."
Finally, Carly highlights the importance of patting your baby's back from the "base of the spine upward."
