“Look out for self-cleaning functions. Many Beko washing machines come with a self-cleaning function, such as DrumClean+ that removes the bacteria that build up and cleans the drum at a hot 70°C.
“Leave the door open to allow air into the drum.
“If the door is closed, bacteria will fester in the damp.
“To clean your washing machine’s exterior, use a damp cloth and washing up liquid to wipe away dust and stains. Make sure to dry your machine with a clean towel.
“Make sure to clean the filter on your washing machine on a regular basis.
“We suggest once every three months, or whenever it becomes clogged.
“Clean the detergent drawer after every four to five uses of the washing machine.
“Detergent drawers can quickly build up with detergent deposits, making it harder for the detergent and fabric softener to travel into the drum.
“To clean, make sure the appliance is turned off, remove the drawer, and wash in warm water.
“Use a toothbrush to reach the corners of the drawer and the fittings.
“A toothbrush can also be used to clean the underside of the drawer housing.
“Also, remove wet clothes from your washing machine as soon as the cycle is finished.”
When it comes to keeping your dishwasher mould-free, the experts stressed the importance of regularly descaling your machine.
They explained: “It’s important to clean your dishwasher regularly.
“Whilst we suggest you deeply clean your machine once every few months, the frequency of your cleaning should depend on how often your dishwasher is used.
“Equally, your cleaning routine will depend on the level of soiling on your dishes and the quantity of dishes you are washing.
“By regularly cleaning your machine, you can prevent the build of mould, limescale, bacteria, and odours, ensuring perfectly hygienic, fresh dishes.
“To clean your washing machine’s exterior, wipe the outer surface and doors seals gently with a slightly damp cloth.
“For a deep clean, run an inner cleaning or Intensive programme with no dishes inside.
“Leave the door open to allow air the machine. If the door is closed, bacteria will fester in the damp.
“Regularly descale your machine. Descaling a dishwasher is an important step to keeping your appliance clean and functional for longer.
