I’m a foodie – forget pigs in blankets, I make pigs in duvets, they’re bigger and better | The Sun

YOU wouldn’t be alone in choosing pigs in blankets as one of your favourite parts of a Christmas dinner. 

But a foodie has revealed that he’s come up with a way of making them even better – by supersizing them and wrapping them in flatbreads.

TikTok user Deli Kitchen has dubbed his culinary masterpiece ‘pigs in duvets’ and has encouraged all of his followers to give the easy recipe a try.

Deli Kitchen, whose social media profile is @mydelikitchen, uploaded a video for his 2000 plus followers.

In it, he said: “What’s better than pigs in blankets? Pigs in duvets.”

The keen cook then shared the simple step-by-step guide, including all the ingredients you need to make the tasty festive snack.

He said: “Pigs may have blankets but sometimes you need a duvet – which comes in the form of these Persian flatbreads.”

Deli Kitchen then showed how all you need to do is lay one of the flatbreads on a flat surface and pile it high with leftover Christmas dinner.

He continued: “Lay cauliflower cheese, pigs in blankets, leftover turkey, a bit of stuffing, cranberry sauce, red cabbage and chopped sprouts.”

Then, you “roll it up tight” in clingfilm, ensuring that all the ingredients are safely inside.

Deli Kitchen went on to say: “Slice into pieces on a baking tray, add a bit of garlic butter.

“Then bake them until they look like this,” he added, as he showed them going golden brown and crisping up on the outside.

The food blogger chose to serve his supersized snack alongside some gravy for dipping.

He added: “Get a look at that – and get stuck in!”

Deli Kitchen’s followers were also keen on the idea, as they said they’d be using up their leftovers and whipping up the dish on Boxing Day and beyond.

One person wrote: “WOW. Need this in my life.”

A second said: “How nice do they look!”

A third commented: “So gonna try this beaut.”
