I'm a cleaning mad mom – my simple two-step solution cleans my couch in seconds when the kids dirty it

WHILE little kids are always adorable, they’re also very messy.

If you have a house full of youngsters, you know how dirty the common spaces can quickly become.

One mother and cleaning pro named Charla, who goes by @Charlascleaninghacks on TikTok, said there is a routine she swears by to ensure her living room always looks and feels fresh.

In the clip, the mother-of-one began by explaining that she does this cleaning monthly.

She mixed one dishwasher tablet with a cup of boiling water.

After letting the tablet dissolve, she dipped a small towel in the solution and then wrapped the towel around a cooking pot lid so that it was fully covered with fabric.

I’m a cleaning expert – my easy laundry trick will make your life easier

Holding the handle of the towel-covered lid, she began swishing it around the surface of her sofa.

She claimed this solution will get rid of all the stains and dirt stuck on the couch.

In the comments section, she said that using warm water and a vacuum after you lightly scrub with the pot is a good idea.

Although one user expressed concern over the tablet bleaching or ruining the fabric, Charla said she has been incorporating the hack for “quite some time” and hasn’t seen any damage.

She did note, however, that every sofa is different, so you’ll want to test it on a small spot first to be sure the mix won’t ruin yours.

When another user said adding fabric softener to the mix will make it smell delightful, Charla said she’s done that before as well.

If you can’t get your hands on a laundry tablet, she also revealed she sometimes uses diluted liquid detergent.
