'Competitive' Kate Middleton has relentless drive to succeed and 'be good at things', Mike Tindall revealsFebruary 10, 2022
THEY may be part of the world's most famous families – but that doesn't stop the Royals from poking fun at each other on WhatsApp just like the rest of us do with our loved ones.
So when Kate Middleton was put through her paces by England rugby players last week to mark her new role as patron, Mike Tindall was prepped and ready to cheekily criticise her technique.
But annoyingly for the professional player – who is married to The Queen's granddaughter Zara – the Duchess of Cambridge was really rather good.
In the latest episode of his podcast The Good, the Bad, and the Rugby, the dad-of-three said Kate's performance seemed "effortless".
During the session, the Duchess – who was a keen rower and hockey player at university – was hoisted into the air by the team at Twickenham and completed drills.
After the practice had finished, Mike messaged his mate Ellis Genge – another professional England player – to ask how it had gone.

He explained: "I text Ellis and said, 'Mate, please tell me anything she messed up on' so I could [message the] family WhatsApp group and get to her.'
Unfortunately for Mike, his mate had nothing but good things to say about Kate's performance.
