Cadbury's World worker reveals how the make ‘best hot chocolate ever' – and the secret is buttons over instant powder

IS it just us or are the hot chocolates we make at home NEVER as good as the ones you get in cafés and restaurants? Either they're way too watery or don't taste anywhere near as chocolatey as we'd like.

That said, you don't get any more indulgent than the hot chocolates on offer at Cadbury's World – and now an employee has revealed how you can easily make them at home.

Rather than using the brand's instant hot chocolate powder, the woman explained in a TikTok video that they use melted chocolate buttons.

"I work at Cadbury's World and this is how we make the pengest hot chocolate," she wrote. "Use buttons melted with hot water instead of powder."

However, she only added a splash of boiling water and mixed thoroughly so the eight buttons formed a paste.

Next, she warmed up some milk on the hob and poured over the chocolate.

She added: "Mix well. [Add] whipped cream and a Flake on top with chocolate dusting to finish."

In this instance, the woman added a single chocolate button on the top of her whipped cream and then poured a sachet of hot chocolate powder over it.

Unsurprisingly, the video has racked up over 142,000 "likes" on TikTok – and it inspired other users to do the same.

"I am definitely going to make hot chocolate this way from now on," one wrote.

Another gushed: "OKAY I am craving this now."

A third said: "OMG I'm so doing this!"

Meanwhile, another suggested: "I usually melt chocolate and use single cream."
