December 3, 2018In the much anticipated video, the 25-year-old popstar – who split with fiance Pete Davidson back in October – pays homage to the iconic characters of four popular noughties chick flicks: Legally Blonde, Mean Girls, Bring It On and 13 going on 30.
While some of the original cast members took part in the new video, the absence of others got us wondering where they are now.
Here, Sun Online takes a closer look at where the cast of the four films ended up.
Mean Girls
Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels)
Since playing Lindsay Lohan and Rachel McAdam’s love interest Aaron Samuels in 2004 hit Mean Girls, Jonathan Bennett, 37, has gone on to star in other hit films such as Cheaper By The Dozen 2, and played Kevin Grady in TV show Smallville.
He also appeared on US reality show, Dancing With The Stars, and has made a name for himself within the baking world, hosting his own Food Network show in the US called Cake Wars.
The 37-year-old star who is all loved up with boyfriend Jaymes Vaughn, has even written a parody cookbook – The Burn Cookbook – which is full of “real recipes to feed your inner plastic”.
Rachel McAdams (Regina George)
Ultimate Mean Girl Regina George was played by Rachel McAdams, now 40.
She went on to star in another classic – The Notebook, in 2004 – and blockbusters Wedding Crashers and Sherlock Holmes.
Most recently she starred in Disobedience, and filmed a lesbian sex scene with Rachel Weisz.
Speaking about filming the scene, Rachel said: “There was an energy to that scene that I haven’t experienced in any other sex scenes [with men] in my career.”
The star also revealed she’d ‘secretly’ given birth to a baby boy earlier this year with partner Jamie Lindin.
Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Wieners)
Known in the film for her attempts to make the phrase “fetch” happen, 14 years on Gretchen Weiners actress Lacey, now 37, has made a name for herself as a voice actress.
She was the voice of Eliza Thornberry in children’s cartoon series, The Wild Thornberrys – and featured in Not Another Teen Movie.
She married long-term love David Nehdar in 2013, and the couple have a daughter, Julia, who was born September 2016.
Amanda Seyfried (Karen Smith)
Despite being in the Mean Girl crew, film fans couldn’t help but warm to Amanda Seyfried’s ditzy character, Karen Smith.
Since the rom-com, Amanda, now 32, has had an illustrious career, starring in Dear John, Mamma Mia! and 2012’s Oscar-nominated Les Miserables.
Amanda enjoyed huge success with Mamma Mia 2 this year, and is currently filming and American comedy, the Art of Racing in the Rain.
She married husband Thomas Sadoski in March 2017, and welcomed their first child later that year.
She now lives two hours north of New York in the countryside where she grows her own vegetables.
Lindsay Lohan (Cady Heron)
Since starring as Cady, Lindsay Lohan has never been far from the spotlight, and recently commented on Instagram she was “flattered by @arianagrande loving #MeanGirls so much”.
The controversial actress – who has battled addiction and had six stints in jail – has starred in films such as Freaky Friday, 2005’s Herbie Fully Loaded and Scary Movie 5 over the last 15 years.
Lindsay, 32, also appeared in TV show Ugly Betty, tried her hand at pop stardom and has released six music videos.
Last year it was claimed she owed the US government £75k after failing to pay her taxes.
But she was most recently in the news for claiming she was attacked by a Syrian refugee after trying to take her children to a hotel for the night.
Legally Blonde
Jennifer Coolidge (Paulette)
Known for her “bend and snap” technique, manicurist Paulette was a key character in 2001 film, Legally Blonde.
The actress who played her, Jennifer Coolidge, 56, has thrown her support behind Ariana and made a cameo in the video.
Known predominantly for her comedy roles, Jennifer has since starred in A Cinderella Story alongside Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray, and American Pie, as Stifler’s Mom.
Her most recent roles were in The Loud House and American Dad and she spends her free time campaigning for animal rights.
Reese Witherspoon (Elle Woods)
Proving she’s not one to be typecast, 42-year-old actress Reese – who played Elle Woods – went on to win an Oscar for her performance as June Carter in 2005’s Walk The Line.
She now perhaps best known for her role as Madeline Martha Mackenzie in TV series Big Little Lies, and has won two Golden Globes and an Academy Award since Legally Blonde was released.
She has three children – Ava Elizabeth and Deacon Reese with ex husband Ryan Phillippe, who she married in 1999 before splitting in 2007, and Tennessee James with husband Jim Toth.
Reese starred in Big Little Lies alongside Nicole Kidman last year, and set up an Instagram book club which has over 150k followers.
Moonie (Bruiser Woods): passed away at 18
Ariana even enrolled her dog, Toulouse, to pay homage Elle’s much-adored pet, Bruiser.
Sadly, the original Bruiser – Moonie the Chihuahua – died at the age of 18 in 2016.
Reese paid tribute to the pup, writing on Twitter: “With a sad heart, I have to let all the #LegallyBlonde fans know that Bruiser Woods (also known as Moonie) passed away yesterday. He was a sweet Chihuahua who was very loved.”
Bring It On
Eliza Dushku (Missy Pantone)
Eliza played Missy Pantone, in 2000 cult classic Bring It On.
She went on to star in TV series Dollhouse, Torchwood, and is known for her role as Faith in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
She got married in August this year to real estate executive Peter Palanjian.
Gabrielle Union (Isis)
Captain of the rival team, East Compton Clovers, Gabrielle, now 46, played Isis.
She went on to star in Bad Boy’s II, and TV show Being Mary Jane.
The actress recently welcomed baby daughter, Kaavia James Union Wade, with husband, basketball star Dwyane Wade.
Kirsten Dunst (Torrance Shipman)
Kirsten, now 36, played lead role, of chirpy Torrance and has gone on to enjoy an extremely successful career.
She's starred in films including 2001’s Get Over It, blockbuster Spiderman, rom-com Wimbledon and TV series Fargo.
Kirsten gave birth to her first baby, a son called Ennis Howard Plemons, in May this year.
The actress is engaged to Jesse Plemons, 30.
13 Going On 30
Jennifer Garner (Jenna Rink)
Following her role in the 2004 film, Jennifer Garner went on to star as Sydney Bristow in TV series Alias.
The 46-year-old actress recently received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.
The actress has three children, Violet, Serafina and Samuel, with ex-husband Ben Affleck, who she split with in 2015 after ten years together.
