Teresa Giudice Lands in Hot Water Over Racist Instagram Comment

April 25, 2019

AceShowbiz -It seems like Teresa Giudice needs to check her punctuation before posting something on the internet. “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star recently landed in hot water after she wrote something on Instagram that many deemed racist.

It all began when she re-posted on the photo-sharing site her daughter’s, Gia, petition which called to keep her father, who is currently being held at ICE detention, in the country. Teresa wrote in the caption, “Please help our family by signing this petition. The bond & closeness I have with my father I hope & pray my girls have with Joe. Love to you all.”

One of her followers took issue with the fact that she did nothing when many Mexican families were separated from each other. “Where was this energy for the Mexican families that [Donald] Trump (who you supported) separated? Not only your family matters, Teresa,” so the user said. In response to this, Teresa said, “I never said that all families matter.”

Her response could mean no harm, but the lack of comma gave the post a whole different flavor. And that rubbed many people in the wrong way. “REALLY?! Not all families matter? Your husband should have concentrated on becoming a citizen instead of a crook. What a piece of work!” one blasted her, as someone else appeared to not be surprised by her answer. “of course you never said that all families matter… you’re only concerned about your own,” so the user said.

One other echoed the sentiment, “actual trash response. No surprise though.” Meanwhile, one of her fans wished Teresa didn’t mean what she posted as saying, “What do you mean not ALL families matter? My heart just broke a little.” Another individual snarked, “so if u dont care about other families what makes you think we care about yours!”

Teresa has yet to respond to the backlash.
