Rihanna Expands Empire With New Luxury Brand

Rihanna has partnered with LVMH Group to create a new luxury brand house that will be based in Paris.

The new fashion house is named Fenty, and its first collection of ready-to-wear, shoes, accessories, and jewelry will be shown in Paris later this month. This makes Rihanna the first woman of color to lead a LVMH brand.

“Designing a line like this with LVMH is an incredibly special moment for us,” Rihanna said. “Mr. Arnault has given me a unique opportunity to develop a fashion house in the luxury sector, with no artistic limits.”

She added, “I couldn’t imagine a better partner both creatively and business-wise, and I’m ready for the world to see what we have built together.”

Fenty will debut this Spring 2019. According to reports, LVMH has already invested $30 million dollars in the Fenty brand.

LVMH group currently includes brands like Dior, Fendi, Givenchy, Marc Jacobs, and Céline among many others.
