Pete, Kim, Billie and more of Kanye West's feuds of 2022… so far

Kanye West vs. everybody. It’s not exactly a secret that Kanye has had some feuds over the years, but he’s really ratcheted up the animosity in 2022. From his ex-wife to Black History Month, no one (or nothing) seems to be safe from Ye’s ire these days.
Click though to see who the rapper has feuded with this year… so far!

In early 2022, Kanye West would go back and forth between bashing Kim Kardashian or begging her for a reconciliation. In January, he accused his ex-wife of “kidnapping” their daughter Chicago on her 4th birthday, and he publicly blasted the “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star for letting their older daughter, North, have a TikTok account. He then took “accountability” for “harassing” Kim. His up and down feelings (and social media messages) about Kim continued consistently until a judge declared them legally single on March 2. Within weeks he accused Kim of keeping their four kids away from him. On March 14, the rapper said on Instagram he hadn’t seen his oldest daughter, North, in a week — something Kim said was a blatant lie. “Please stop with this narrative, you were just here this morning picking up the kids for school,” she commented.

There’s a lot to unpack here. Kanye West has had issues with Pete Davidson for years, but his vitriol reached new heights when the comedian began dating Kim Kardashian. Kanye’s Instagram feed in 2022 has read like an anti-shrine to the “SNL” star. Not only has Ye nicknamed him “Skete,” he also made several music videos that depict him beating up Pete and even decapitating him. (Ye called it “art.”) He’s also made several derogatory and unfounded claims against his nemesis that involve drugs. “Apologize to your family for being in your family,” he wrote to Pete on March 16. Rarely has a day gone by wherein Ye doesn’t post about Pete and fan the feud flames. Pete, by the way, texted Kanye amid all this and said he was “done being quiet.” He also shared a selfie from what he claimed was Kim Kardashian’s bed and told Kanye he was “in bed with your wife.” Kanye, naturally, had issues with Pete calling Kim his “wife.”

On March 16, Kanye directed a racial slur at Trevor Noah after “The Daily Show” host addressed the rapper’s feuds with his ex-wife and boyfriend. “What [Kim Kardashian] is going through is terrifying to watch, and it shines a spotlight on what so many women go through when they choose to leave,” Trevor said on his March 15 Comedy Central show. “What we’re seeing is one of the most powerful, one of the richest women in the world, unable to get her ex to stop texting her, to stop chasing after her, to stop harassing her.” After leaving the slur up for several hours, Ye deleted the post from Instagram. Several hours later, Instagram suspended Kanye’s account for 24 hours.

Kanye West demanded that Billie Eilish publicly apologize to Travis Scott (someone else he’s feuded with) after he believed she dissed him during a concert. On Feb. 5, the “Happier Than Ever” singer went viral for stopping her show mid-concert after seeing a fan struggling to catch their breath. The 20-year-old summoned her team to get the fan an inhaler, an act of goodwill that was universally praised. “We’re taking care of our people, hold on. I wait for people to be OK until I keep going,” she said, which many felt was a swipe at Travis, seeing as 10 people died at his Astroworld concert in Houston last November due to a horrific crowd surge. Travis continued to perform as the mass casualty incident was happening. On Feb. 10, Kanye felt like Billie crossed a line and vented in an all-caps Instagram message. “COME ON BILLIE WE LOVE YOU PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES,” he wrote on Instagram. “NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN. TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED.” Ye then wrote an ultimatum to Billie, who, like Ye, is scheduled to perform at Coachella. “AND YES TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM.”Billie, by the way, didn’t apologize, responding, “literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan.”

Kanye West zeroed in on Kris Jenner’s boyfriend in February 2022, calling him “Godless.” “God has a plan to remove the godless Corey needed to never be here anyway,” Ye said on social media on Feb. 19. “And I think he’s a nice person Not a great person A nice person who used to be around Puff’s family then got around Justin Bieber and then when Kris got divorced he slid in He became the tv version of a father figure and as he always called [himself] ‘a REAL n—–’ He once told my wife he knew what music she should be listening to So when I seen him a week later I had him removed from my daughters birthday party.” (The same party that Kanye said Kim Kardashian kept him from by “kidnapping” their daughter.)

D.L. Hughley has long had opinions about Kanye West, insisting in February that Ye was “stalking” Kim Kardashian. Things really took a turn in March when Kanye threatened the comedian. “DL Hughley is a pawn Yeah I know a king not supposed to address a pawn but I address everything and find addresses DL So don’t speak on me or my children I can afford to hurt u,” he wrote. Along the way, he wrote to D.L.. “God does not like you. You have no favor. Your family hates you. I would hate to be related to somebody who used to be famous. Now you just known as a broke pawn.” The rapper also shared a video of D.L. fainting after suffering a medical episode during a comedy show last year. D.L., for the most part, didn’t back down. “You can tell when people surround themselves with real ones. REAL ONES in your corner would NEVER allow you to threaten a man or his family, especially in a public forum,” he tweeted in mid-March. He later implied that Ye has mental health issues. “Mmmm! Ain’t it weird that #Kanye supposedly has all these goons who will kill for him, but not one of them will get his prescriptions filled? Here’s a thought while you’re on your way to kill me in Calabasas, how about somebody drop by CVS and pick up his Xanax! Lol.” On March 16, the two went at it again, with Ye sharing images of D.L. while making fun of (gasp!) his fashion. Kanye also said he previously defended D.L.’s comedy “when he had work.” The two fired salvos often on March 16, with D.L. eventually writing, “Kanye ain’t it funny how you can explain my jokes, but not your behavior?”

Kanye West and Kid Cudi had a close, close bond for well over a decade, and they collaborated on several projects. However, Kanye announced in February that Cudi would no longer appear on his “Donda 2” project because he was friends with Pete Davidson. “Just so everyone knows Cudi will not be on Donda because he’s friends with you know who,” Ye wrote before slighting Billie Eilish, adding, “We all speak in Billie language now.” Cudi fired back at Ye, calling him a “dinosaur.” He also tweeted on Kanye, “We talked weeks ago about this. You’re whack for flipping the script and posting this lie just for a look on the internet. You ain’t no friend. BYE.” A few days later Kanye said he had “love” for Cudi.

Jeff Bezos was in Kanye West’s bullseye over Super Bowl weekend in February. To little surprise, the Bezos shade came in the midst of a Pete Davidson rant. “BEZOS BOUGHT THE WALL STREET JOURNAL AND WILL STILL NEVER HAVE THIS LEVEL OF INFLUENCE NO MATTER HOW MANY DINNERS HE DOES WITH MY WIFE AND SKETER,” Kanye said on Instagram. Bezos, by the way, did not buy the Wall Street Journal. He bought the Washington Post in August 2013. It certainly seems that Kanye isn’t happy that Pete is going to space aboard Jeff’s Blue Origin rocket (the same one William Shatner rode in) on March 23.

Kanye West doesn’t seem to be a fan of Machine Gun Kelly, who happens to be one of Pete Davidson’s friends (sense a theme?). While firing away at Disney CEO Bob Chapek, Ye said the executive “will never control the high schools no ones ever heard a Machine Gun Kelly song.” Kanye also posted a photo of Pete and MGK acting during an “SNL” skit, supposedly as a way of taunting them.

Kanye West came for a little known “SNL” writer and screenwriter named Dave Sirus on March 16. And, it seems like his vitriol had to do with Pete Davidson. “Come on Dave please help write some more culturally irrelevant jokes for SKETE,” he said on social media, using his rhythmic nickname for Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend. “You don’t have to have talent these days you just need a Hillary Clinton tattoo.” Dave was also a writer and co-producer of “The King of Staten Island,” which, you guessed it, starred Pete.

It’s not just people that Kanye West has issues with. In February, Ye balked at the labeling of “Black History Month.” In Ye’s eyes, he wants to rename it “Black Future Month.” “I need Black Future Month. I need Black Possibility Month,” he wrote on Instagram on Feb. 1. “I’m tired of seeing us getting hosed-down. I’m tired of talking about slavery.”
