Fans may have noticed Pamela Anderson has been wearing less make-up lately.
The Baywatch bombshell, known for her signature curves, long blonde locks and over-the-top makeup, explained to Elle there was actually a heartbreaking reason behind her new minimalist look.
She explained she began to forego her glam look after her makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, died from breast cancer in 2019.
The devastating loss left her believing there was just no point in wearing makeup anymore.
“She was the best,” Pam said of Alexis. “And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup.”
The makeup-free move comes at the same time Pam is actually having somewhat of a renaissance moment.
Hot on the heels of Hulu’s controversial series about her relationship with Tommy Lee, Pam and Tommy, aired but also after the release of Pam’s version of her story on Netflix, Pamela: A Love Story, Pam’s fans had begun to emulate her style.
Wearing her signature 90s style was even dubbed Pamcore.
Pam admitted she knew nothing about Pamcore until her kids Brandon and Dylan, explained to her it existed.
“My kids told me about it because I don’t have these apps on my phone or anything. I refuse to,” she revealed.
She is also aware of the irony at the same time fans are rediscovering and emulating her 90s style, she is going in the opposite direction.

She went on to call her new look, “freeing and fun.”
