Megan Barton Hanson has warned fans of an imposter who is reportedly pretending to be her assistant as a means of luring women to a flat under false pretences.

The Love Island star exposed the alleged impersonator on her Instagram stories, telling fans that they had been posing as a crew member working for Celebs Go Dating.

The 27-year-old, who celebrated her birthday in style in March, reached out to her 1.6 million followers online to warn them against interacting with the person who runs the account, who she claims has been arranging hair and makeup appointments with fans looking to meet her.

Megan wrote: “!!GIRLS!! [X account] is pretending to work for celebs go dating, sorting hair and makeup appointments and trying to get girls to meet them pretending to be me!

“I can’t stress enough it’s a freak that clearly enjoys wasting your time and is actually getting girls addresses, numbers and is asking to meet at their soho flat for various reasons.

The blonde bombshell went on to share a concerning text message she received from a friend, who alerted to the alleged incidents.

It read: “Hope you are well! This such a random text but I feel like I should reach out and tell you someone is pretending to be your assistant and inviting women to your ‘flat’ in soho to meet you to possibly date on celebs go dating.

“This isn’t something I’d normally bother you with but it sounds super dodgy and dangerous and maybe something you’d want to put up on your stories that this is not you or your assistant getting women to come to some random flat.”

Megan stressed to her fans that they should not give out any personal information and or meet up with the person who has been sending the messages.

She went on to share several screenshots sent to her from fans who had interacted with the account in question.

The drama comes after bisexual Megan admitted that she would “definitely” return to Love Island if there was ever a gay season of the dating show.

The glamour model has previously dated Demi Sims and Chelcee Grimes following her breakup with Wes Nelson on the 2018 series of Love Island.
