Martine McCutcheon and husband skip Valentine’s Day dates to attention from the public

February 14, 2022

Actress turned model Martine McCutcheon has opened up about her plans for Valentine's Day, revealing that she and her husband Jack McManus will not be out and about so as to avoid attention from fans.

This year will see Martine and Jack celebrating 10 years of marriage, but the couple won't be enjoying a meal out or a date night on February 14.

During a chat with OK! , the 45 year old explained: "We’ll celebrate on another day because you can get privacy. Going out on Valentine’s Day, you’re just asking for all the phone cameras to be out!"

However, Martine has a special treat lined up for her fans.

She revealed: "Through my partnership with Flora ProActiv and Heart UK, I’ve been signing Valentine’s Day cards that have got really cute, tongue-in-cheek messages encouraging Brits to look after their heart health and get their cholesterol tested."

When quizzed about how she plans to celebrate her and Jack's wedding anniversary, Martine revealed: "We don’t know yet if our celebration is going to be a small or big thing, given there’s a question mark hanging over travel, but we definitely will do something."

She continued: "We got married at Lake Como and it was just the most magical experience ever."

Martine described her husband as a "a very strong and silent, but supportive partner."

She added that Jack is someone who is "successful in his own right" and understands the showbiz industry.

"He’s a producer and songwriter, so he understands the industry, but he’s got his own success and his own confidence, and he loves to help me shine," Martine explained.

"I’m very lucky I met somebody like that, because in our industry, you can meet people who are either competing with you or they don’t understand the industry. So for me, it was the perfect cocktail."

Martine McCutcheon is working with Flora ProActiv to announce its partnership with HEART UK and educate the country on the importance of understanding and testing cholesterol levels.

This Valentine’s Day, Flora ProActiv has created a set of cards to encourage cholesterol testing. All proceeds will go to HEART UK.
