Married At First Sight’s Bob Voysey ‘built up a lot of anger’ after losing his mum at a young ageNovember 7, 2021
Married At First Sight's Bob Voysey says he built up a lot of anger after losing his mum at a young age.
The 26 year old Bournemouth-born star was just nine years old when his mother passed away, and he grew up with his two brothers and step dad.
Speaking to OK! about what it was like to lose his mother at such a young age, Bob candidly admitted: "Growing up in a household made up of males, we didn't really talk about emotions.
"I built up a lot of anger and emotion. When I was 18 and started to go out drinking it would come out a lot."

It wasn't until later on in Bob's life that he tarted to speak about the loss of his mum, after an ex partner asked him about her.
Bob continued: "One night my ex partner asked me about my mum and I'd never really spoken about it and I started to deal with the emotion of losing my mum for the first time.
"Since then, it was like turning on the tap and that was it, it was such a release of pressure when you let emotions out."
Bob is known to wear his heart on sleeve, and viewers noticed this while watching him on hit E4 show, Married At First Sight.
Bob married Megan Wolfe on the show, but their romance was far from plain sailing and they decided to go their separate ways.
The pair remained friends despite lacking a spark romantically, and Bob said he had no regrets when it came to being open about his emotions on the show.
"I wear my heart on my sleeve and if something upsets me then I'm open about it. There's always this stigma around men and the whole thing of men shouldn't cry."
Bob was trolled on social media after appearing on MAFS, and he explained to OK!: "I've actually received messages while on the show, with one man saying 'you looked so weak and pathetic on the show.'
"He said next time 'choose to not be the man that gets walked all over.'

"I've got a few mates that won't show emotion or cry but I think for anyone, men and women, they might not want to talk about it, but I don't like the stigma that men shouldn't cry because I think it takes a real man to actually cry and be vulnerable in front of other people."
Bob has since found romance outside of the show with a girl he was dating before starring on the reality show.
Shortly before appearing on MAFS they'd decided to go their separate ways, but they've since fired up their romance once again.
Talking to OK!about his new romance, Bob shared: "There was one night we watched it together when I was round hers and we watched it and it was awkward.
"In that episode it was one where Megan and I made up and had a kiss. It was probably more awkward for her, watching her partner kiss someone else on national TV."
