Love Islander Ekin-Su’s shot girl days revealed in new pics and she’s unrecognisable

Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu’s former career as a shot girl in a bar during her university days has been revealed, following her Love Island win with partner Davide Sanclimenti.

The 27 year old actress, who wowed at the final in a short embellished dress, became a favourite among fans during this year's series and it’s been said she could even rival the success of previous winner Molly-Mae.

However, prior to her reality TV days, the star worked as an actress following graduating from the University of Central Lancashire with a degree in acting, during which time she worked at a local bar called Ships and Giggles where she worked as a shot girl and helped with celebrity appearances.

During those days, she went by the name of Suzie Hayzel and the bar’s owner, Andy MacDonald, has opened up on the star’s time working there.

Speaking to LancsLive, he said: "I'm not a Love Island fan at all but I keep getting these messages and phone calls saying about this Ekin-Su. They say Ekin-Su used to work for you and I say, I have never had anybody called Ekin-Su work for me, ever.

"After a while I thought, what is going on? Looked on Facebook and I go 'for goodness sake, it's Susie Hayzel! Her name's not Ekin-Su, it's Susie b****y Hayzel.”

The bar owner described Ekin-Su as “really down to earth” and “spoke whatever was on her mind” during her time working there in 2014 and 2015."

Andy added: "She was always up for a laugh and I always used her when we had celebrity appearances or whatever, she was always one of my main YBD girls, one of my main Ships and Giggles girls.

"She'd come down with the other girls and they'd host the event, welcome the artist, she was always, always, really sound. Always was."

Ekin attended UCLan until 2015. A University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) spokesperson said: “We’re delighted for our 2015 BA (Hons) Acting graduate Ekin-su Cülcüloglu after being crowned the winner of ITV’s Love Island.”

Following the star's triumphant time on the show, big brands are thought to be queuing up to work with her.

A source has revealed just how successful Ekin-Su could be thanks to her stint on the show, claiming that her appeal to big brands has gone "way beyond" Molly-Mae and that "global, corporate brands" want to work with the star.

"There’s a pretty well-trodden path for Love Island winners. Over the past seven series it’s the usual fast fashion, drugstore make-up and then, of course, teeth whitening and protein shakes.

"Only Molly-Mae has really and truly broken that mould but even she ended up finding a home at a High Street fashion brand, Pretty Little Thing, albeit on a £250,000 salary," a source told The Sun.

“Ekin’s appeal to brands appears to have gone way beyond all that. It’s not just clothing brands, but big, global corporate brands that want to work with her. She’s going to be a very, very busy girl," the insider added.
