Kris Boyson and Bianca Gascoigne had only been able to enjoy one date before the whole country went into lockdown.

Taking the plunge, Kris and Bianca decided to move in together, which has clearly paid off. There’s no doubt their relationship is going from strength to strength. In fact they’ve even discussed starting a family together, insisting they’ll try for a baby next year.

“We’re not getting any younger. I think we’ll have very cute babies,” Bianca says, while Kris jokes, “As long as they get B’s looks, because I wouldn’t want them to have a massive nose like me!”

And it’s not just babies on their minds, as fitness instructor Kris says he wants to pop the question before Bianca gets pregnant. He’s keeping tight-lipped about how and when he might propose, but the pair have already decided they want two weddings when the time comes.

While Kris and Bianca are evidently loved-up, it’s no secret their relationship hasn’t been plain sailing. After their romance was made public earlier this year, ex Katie Price branded Kris a “nasty, angry person”.

More recently, Katie claimed Kris used her for fame and slammed Bianca as a “Z-lister” – which forced Kris to publicly hit back on Instagram, where he warned he “could destroy her career”. But the couple refuse to let the drama affect them and reveal their frustrations that their names keep getting mentioned.

Here, Kris, 31, and Bianca, 34, open up about how their families – including Bianca’s dad, football legend Paul Gascoigne – feel about them trying for a baby, why they want two weddings, and tell us about their “passionate” relationship…

Hi guys! How are things going with your relationship?

Kris: When you last spoke to us we weren’t even able to go out on a bloody date, so we’ve been going out a bit more and just having fun. It’s nice to actually have a normal relationship, rather than a lockdown relationship. We’ve done things back to front because usually you’d go on dates before you settle down and live together. But it’s really good.

What do you like the most about each other?

Kris: B is ultimate wifey material. I’ll be finishing work after a hard day and even if she’s had work, she’ll always make sure dinner is ready. It’s amazing because it shows that she’s committed. But we just bounce off each other. She’s got a great personality and we just get on and have a laugh.

Bianca: With Kris, if anything is wrong, he’s the sort of person who will want to sit down and talk through it and make sure that I’m alright.

Have you both found The One in each other?

Kris: One hundred per cent. As long as she doesn’t stop cooking me dinner! [Laughs] I’m joking. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been.

Bianca: We love each other a lot.

Could babies be on the cards?

Bianca: We’ve had the conversation because I’ve just turned 34 and my friends are all settling down and having babies. Children have never been a big thing to me, I’ve always just pushed the idea to one side. But then as soon as my friends had them, I was like, “Oh my God, no, I really love them so much.”

Kris: I’ve always wanted kids. I’m really family oriented and my mum is desperate to have some grandchildren. My sister has had a couple of kids, but we haven’t had any Boysons because my sister is married.

Bianca: My mum is desperate beyond belief. I’ve always said I’ll end up being a surrogate because my mum will just be wanting to take the baby! She’s obsessed. My mum has always said that becoming a mum would be the making of me.

How would your dad Gazza feel?

Bianca: He would be really chuffed as well.

Have you been able to meet him yet, Kris?

Kris: Because of the restrictions, we haven’t been able to do any unnecessary travel. We’ve been very sensible with it because I’ve got a lot of older [personal training] clients who are in the high-risk bracket. But Bianca has spoken to him and we half-arranged it, then it had to change. But we will go see him.

Bianca: I want to see him, but it’s just unfortunate circumstances with this horrible year.

When would you like to start trying for kids?

Bianca: Well, I’ve got the implant in my arm. I was having a girlie chat the other day with my friends and we were saying it could take a year to get pregnant after it’s taken out. So I did come back and say to Kris, “I wonder when we’re going to have the discussion about when I’ll take it out?” We’ve said next year, but we don’t know when exactly.

Why does it feel like the right time?

Kris: It doesn’t feel like anything is forced. Everything feels natural and you just go with it.

Are you worried about rushing into things?

Bianca: The funny thing is, we’ve fast-forwarded like three years because of lockdown. In a normal dating situation, people see each other once a week. We had our first date the week before lockdown and then went into lockdown and spent every second of every day with each other. I feel like we’re a married couple already to be honest!

Do you have a passionate relationship?

Kris: B is very hands-on and passionate. I am like that, but not as much.

Bianca: I’m definitely the saucier one! Because I’m quite spiritual, it’s not just about sex, it’s about the emotional connection and the feeling of closeness.

Can you keep up with her, Kris?!

Kris: Of course! But if I’m completely honest, what I need to do is stop worrying and stressing about work and actually just let my hair down in the evening and stop thinking about everything else and spend more quality time together.

How many kids would you like?

Kris: I’ve always wanted three. Two boys and a girl.

Bianca: I would definitely want a boy first if I had the choice! If I had a girl I’d worry a lot more about them. I’d like two and then see how we’re getting on.

Kris: I need to keep the Boyson name going. If we had a kid and it was a girl, and then we had another kid and it was a girl, I’d have to have another one to make sure I get a boy!

Have you thought about names?

Kris: I’ve always wanted a particular name, but I don’t want to say it because I don’t want anyone to nick it!

Bianca: It’s really weird because when we first got together, we said a name that we both liked at exactly the same time and it was the same name! It was bizarre.

What kind of parents do you think you’ll be?

Kris: Where B is so loving and affectionate, it’s the perfect mix. She can be mumsy, but on the flip side she can be prancing around the house in a little underwear set. She can do both.

Bianca: For some reason, kids really love me. When I was younger, I was never really one to be like, “My goal is to have this many kids and get married,” but kids just gravitate to me.

Who will be the stricter parent?

Kris: Probably me. I’m quite OCD. So if the kids were running around and throwing things, I think B would be like, “Let them do it!” and I’d be like, “Stop it!”

Bianca: Yeah, I’d definitely be very emotional and very cuddly with my kids.

Kris: This is why I’m scared to get a dog – she’ll give the dog affection over me.

Are you planning to get a dog?

Bianca: We would love to get a rescue dog. But because we want to have children, we need it to be OK. You just worry with these dogs who have been mistreated. So it’s something we’re really going to look into.

And what about marriage? Have you made any plans?

Bianca: We have spoken about it. But obviously he needs to pop the question first before we start making plans!

Kris: I’ve always wanted to get married. We wouldn’t be pursuing our relationship this much if marriage wasn’t on the cards.

Which do you want first, babies or marriage?

Bianca: I’ve never been one of those girls who have planned their wedding or thought about having children. But for me, I don’t want to be pregnant in a wedding dress.

Kris: I wouldn’t want her to be pregnant at the wedding, so we’d have to time it right. And I wouldn’t be able to have a kid if I wasn’t engaged. I think you need to at least have that commitment.

So if you’re hoping to have a baby next year, that means an engagement could be soon…

Kris: Good point – I didn’t think about that. I’ve just put my foot in it a little bit! I better get saving up, but I’m not going to give away any clues.

What kind of proposal would you like, Bianca?

Bianca: I would like it to be a surprise, but that’s about it. I’d be happy with a Haribo ring, because I know that’s something Kris would worry about.

Kris: The reason I’d worry about the ring is because I’d want her to be able to show her mates and be proud of it. For me, it’s got to be like, “Oh my God! Look at this.” I always want her to have the best of everything.

How do you picture your wedding?

Bianca: I would like a beach wedding with minimal people. But Kris has a massive family so we’d have to compromise.

Kris: We’d have to have two because I’ve got a huge family and we’re very traditional. In my family, everyone has got married in the same church. I’m not so set on it being in a church, but I would have to get married in the UK so all my family could come. I’d do a second one abroad.

Bianca: We could just have a big party with everyone away, that would be fine.

You seem super loved-up! Do you ever argue?

Kris: We haven’t really had any [arguments]. It would be silly to ignore the fact we’ve had to deal with certain things, but that’s out of our control. There are certain things for B, where it’s like, “Right, enough is enough, now I need to stop hearing about this.” There are certain things that are out of our control that pop up every now and then which put a downer on the day.

Bianca: It’s just frustrating. As a positive person, I just don’t understand where it all comes from. It’s difficult for me to see why it’s happening.

Kris: I hate seeing her when she’s quiet. If she goes quiet, I know something’s wrong because she’s really bubbly 99% of the time. So rather than just ignore it, which to be honest is something I would have always done, with B, I always like to tackle it. And I think that’s the best way to be – just to get it out of the way.

We take it you’re referring to the recent stories in the press about your ex Katie Price. How has that affected your relationship?

Bianca: Obviously there’s been so much shade that has been thrown and I don’t know where it comes from. It’s very hard for me to understand why it happens. It blows my mind.

Kris: I totally agree. With me and B, we did everything in the right way. We were very amicable and mature when we moved on and respected everyone and just kept quiet. And throughout those months, there were constant accusations and stories being put out. I just didn’t get how all these months had gone by and it just kept getting brought up again. The thing that frustrated me the most is when that person always brands everyone as selling stories on her. I’ve never sold one story, yet I really believe she’s selling stories on me, which I think is so hypocritical. I’ve kept quiet, never sold a story, never said anything negative about anyone, yet she seems to think it’s OK for her to do it.

Bianca: And bring me into it when I’ve done absolutely nothing!

Kris: She says everyone uses her for press, but recently it seems to me it’s the other way around. I feel like she’s using me for stories and then she brings B into it and it’s just bizarre.

You recently bumped into Katie’s ex-husband Kieran Hayler during a date night. Was that awkward?

Kris: As much as everyone probably wants it to be juicy and awkward, I’m absolutely fine with Kieran. I’ve got no problems with him and he hasn’t got any with me. Kieran has always said to me that I was great with the kids and thanked me for everything I’ve done for them. So it was fine. We just had a laugh and said a few nice words and that was it really.

Finally, what’s next for you both?

Bianca: I think everyone just wants next year to come! I’ve been doing a make-up course and I’ve hopefully got a make-up range coming out that I’m in the middle of now.

Kris: I’ve got an exciting project coming up in the next month or so, which I can’t reveal just yet, so things are positive. And hopefully we can have a holiday soon!
