KJ Apa & Isabel May To Join DC Universe, Cast In ‘Wonder Twins’ Movie!

KJ Apa and Isabel May will be playing twins in an upcoming movie!

It was just announced that the Riverdale actor and the 1883 actress have been cast as the Wonder Twins in the upcoming DC movie for HBO Max, Deadline reveals.

KJ will play Zan and Isabel will be play Jayna.

While the plot of the movie is of course under wraps, as is with all of the superhero films, it is being reported that it will be a comedy.

Black Adam co-writer Adam Sztykiel will make his directorial debut off a script he wrote, with production set to begin this summer in Atlanta.

If you didn’t know, the Wonder Twins made their debut on The All-New Super Friends Hour in 1977, followed by appearances in The World’s Greatest Super Friends, Super Friends, and Super Friends: The Legendary Super Powers Show.

They are “from the planet Exxor who were being informally trained by the DC superheroes. In a 1977 Super Friends comic book from E. Nelson Bridwell and artist Ramona Fradon, it’s further detailed that the twins were orphaned during a plague and adopted by the alien Exorians. Along the way, they’re given Gleek as a pet. After learning that villain Grax is set to destroy Earth, they travel there to warn the Justice League. They ultimately blend into life on Earth as Swedish exchange students, attending Gotham City High School.”
