Former EastEnders actor Joe Swash, 39, has addressed his and Loose Women panellist Stacey Solomon’s unique family, reflecting on his life before becoming a father and how he now feels “more settled” with children in his life. The TV personality admitted to being a “live wire”, but added that since having a family he no longer “feels the need to go out and get drunk”.

Addressing his family situation, Joe said that looking after his and Stacey’s four children is a constant journey.

Joe said: “We’re very blended and we make it work.

“But like every blended family, it’s a constant progression and a journey.”

The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner also spoke about his life before having children, adding that looking after his brood has stopped him “getting drunk” with friends.

“I’ve always been a little bit of a live wire and got FOMO [fear of missing out] really badly and wanted to be in the thick of things, out with my pals,” he admitted.

“I was also a little bit scatty. But since I’ve had the kids I feel a lot more settled and don’t feel the need to go out and get drunk.”

Joe added to OK! Magazine: “I just really love being with my kids. There’s never a dull day.”

He shares son Rex, two, with fiancee Stacey, who is expecting their baby girl in a couple of months time.

He also has son Harry, 14, with his ex-fiancee, while Stacey shares Leighton, nine, and Zachary, 13, with previous partners.

Joe also spoke about how he and Stacey work together to look after their four children, which sees them juggle the workload with each other.

“We’ve got four kids, one on the way, and they all go to different schools, activities and have their own lives. But we manage it,” Joe said.

“When Stacey’s having a busy period, I’ll take some time off work and do the school run and other bits. And when I’m busy, Stacey will.”

In June the Tap To Tidy star announced the exciting news that she and Joe are expecting in a heartwarming Instagram post.

The 31-year-old shared the news alongside a picture with her three sons and Joe – and a scan of the new arrival.

The Loose Women panellist revealed the couple were expecting another “pickle”.

She wrote: “We are growing another pickle. We’ve never felt so grateful… I have no words.

“We didn’t think we would get the chance. We love you all to the moon and back.

“Lots of love From Me, Joe, Harry, Zach, Leighton, Rex, and our little pickle,” Stacey ended the post.

The star went on to heartbreakingly share how she suffered multiple miscarriages after she and Joe made the decision to try to grow their family.

After the happy announcement, Stacey added: “For a really long time we’ve been trying for another pickle… It didn’t work out and this was our news quite a few times.”
