Emma Willis and Anita Rani were caught committing what appeared to be a major fashion faux pas at the BAFTA TV Awards on Sunday.

In a very relatable moment, the presenters, who looked stunning in their glamorous gowns, ditched etiquette rules by supposedly adjusting their underwear on the red carpet.

However, with an army of photographers everywhere, they failed spectacularly to be discreet.

Taking to her Instagram stories, Emma, 47, shared a photo of herself and Anita, 45, in their fancy frocks while they attemted to reorganise their ensembles.

However, she saw the humour in it all and captioned the image in view of her 1.9 million followers: “Sneaky knicker adjustment on red carpet last night.”

Anita also shared the image on her Instagram page, quipping: “Stealth pant adjustments on the red carpet.

Think we got away with no one seeing @‌emmawillisofficial Thanks for keeping watch @‌mrsgifletcher #knickers.”

The awkward moment aside, the broadcasters looked fashion-flawless in their eye-catching gowns at the star-studded event.

Mother-of-three Emma showed off her trim figure in an edgy, ruby red cut-out dress embellished with silver rings.

She paired the look with matching red strappy heels.

While Anita donned a slinky silk black dress which showed off her slim figure and exposed a lot of skin with its daring cut-out at the back.

The pair rubbed shoulders with the likes of Hollywood stars Damian Lewis and Kate Winslet, who was the big winner of the night having bagged the Leading Actress gong for her role in I Am Ruth.

The night out served as some light relief for Emma who recently wrapped up filming a harrowing documentary about her husband Matt Willis’ long struggle with addiction.

The pair wed in 2008, just weeks after the 40-year-old Busted star sought help in rehab.

In the BBC film, Fighting Addiction, which airs tomorrow, Emma revealed that alcohol and drugs have dominated most of Matt’s adult life.
