Elvis Duran honored to meet his idol Howard Stern

Radio great Elvis Duran finally met his own on-air idol Howard Stern, at North Shore Animal League America’s annual Get Your Rescue On gala.

“It was amazing!” Duran told us. “Howard was incredibly engaging and actually mentioned me in his speech. [His] influence in my life is why I needed to work in NYC, and we finally met. I was so honored!”

Stern chaired the gala with his wife, Beth.

Duran appears on “The Tonight Show” on Friday.
