Country Stars See Jump In Sales After ACM Awards Performances

Performances at this year’s Academy of Country Music Awards have fueled jumps in sales by country music stars such as Blake Shelton, Thomas Rhett and Carrie Underwood.

Overall, the tunes performed on the award show sold 96,000 downloads on April 7 and 8, up 347% compared to the 21,000 downloads they sold on April 5 and 6, according to Billboard.

Rhett’s “Look What God Gave Her” sold 10,000 on April 7-8, up 220%, Shelton’s “God’s Country” sold 15,000, up 174%, Dan + Shay‘s “Keeping Score” 5,000; up 5,163%, Chris Stapleton‘s “A Simple Song” 4,000; up 180%, Underwood’s “Southbound” 3,000; up 13,878%, Little Big Town‘s “The Daughters” 9,000; up 388%.

Meanwhile, Dan + Shay’s “Tequila,” which won two CMA Awards, recorded a 243% sales gain.
