Carol Vorderman, 60, issued a shout-out for her popular radio show tomorrow on Twitter. The former Countdown presenter was asking her viewers for their proposal stories ahead of her appearance.
However, when she made the request, she also admitted she wasn’t sure if her own husband ever proposed to her.
She penned in view of her 463,000 followers on Twitter about this.
Carol wrote: “And for a shoutout on my show tomorrow on @BBCRadioWales from 1130….
“QUESTION Marriage proposal stories please – from the romantic to the rubbish!
“ps I’m not even sure my husband actually proposed to me …
“I’ll have a proper think before tomorrow’s show.”
She ended her tweet with a crying laughing face emoji.
Carol has been married twice before in her lifetime.
Her first husband was Christopher Mather who she was married to between 1985 and 1986.
He was a Royal Navy officer but their nuptials only lasted 12 months.
She married again in 1990 to management consultant Patrick King.
They have two children together, Katie and Cameron.
However, the couple then separated in 2000.
After Carol posted her request on social media, she was inundated with stories.
One fan told the presenter: “I proposed to my wife after 4 weeks of being together.
“I was drunk, so she got me to do it again the next day sober. The timescale being…met in Feb, proposed in March, married that same June.
“15 years on and still married. I still think I’d get less time for manslaughter!”
Another replied: “I proposed to my wife at Comic Relief at the London Palladium on Friday 13th March 2015.
“She only said yes because she thought I was passing M&Ms. We did get a round of applause from the audience close to us. Great night.”
Elsewhere, Carol opened up about how she feels about new Countdown host Anne Robinson.
She said on her radio show last week: “I’m not beating around the bush here, I think she’ll do very well.
“I’m a great admirer of Anne, because I know how hard it was for women of that generation.
“You had to be very hard-nosed to get anywhere as a woman in Anne’s generation, so I’ve got great admiration for her, I really, really do.
“And I hope she is very happy.”
