BBC weather presenter Carol Kirkwood, 57, took to social media this morning to share a behind-the-scenes snap on Twitter.

The popular television personality, who is a regular fixture on BBC Breakfast, posted a picture online this morning of herself with two members of the morning team.

According to the post, which was shared with her 168,100 Twitter followers, she ran into her BBC co-star Matt Taylor, 43, and didn’t want to let him go.

Matt, who presents the weather on BBC News 24 and BBC World, wore his navy blue jacket over a crisp white shirt and a pair of denim jeans.

Holding on to his other arm was weather forecaster Gemma Plumb.

Suitably dressed for her TV appearance, Carol wore a pretty pink floral dress in the picture.

Her hair and make-up camera ready.

Carol captioned the snap: “The @bbcweather morning team.”

She continued: “@MetMattTaylor where do you think you are going? Get your coat off and sit down! @plumb_pud do something!!!”

Sharing the post on his own Twitter account, in view of his 28,000 followers, Matt replied: “I wasn’t planning on staying @carolkirkwood.”

Humorously adding: “Was hoping you wouldn’t notice …”
