Coronation Street actress Brooke Vincent has reflected on the moment she told her 18 month old son Mexx that she was going to be bringing his little brother Monroe home before her planned C-section.
However, things didn’t quite go to plan and Brooke was rushed into hospital nine hours ahead of the scheduled birth, with her partner, Sheffield United footballer Kean Bryan, by her side.
The gorgeous soap star welcomed Monroe SJ Bryan into the world on 4 May at 8.14am – the exact same time as his big brother Mexx – weighing 8lbs 1oz and was delivered through C-section at St Mary’s Hospital.
The soap star sat down with OK! to reflect on the touching moment with Mexx, which took place just hours before Monroe's "complicated" birth.
Speaking exclusively to OK!, Brooke said: “The night before I went into hospital to have Monroe, I always take Mexx to bed and we always do this little ritual, so we always give each other a little kiss and we rub our noses and have a little squeeze.”
“This day I said to him, I was like 'so tomorrow…', and obviously my hormones are everywhere, but I was like, 'Tomorrow mummy is going to have a baby and you’re going to be a big brother,'” she told us.
Brooke, who plays Sophie Webster in Corrie, began to cry as she explained: “I literally said to him what was going to happen and that everything was going to change tomorrow.
"I think because he has no idea, the innocence of it was like, 'Oh my god'."

The 28-year-old –whose full OK! interview can be read here– said it was “so weird, he held me like my mum used to if I was crying and patted my back, like I don’t know if he was being sarcastic or something.”
“It was a really lovely moment because it was a bit like kind of getting his approval although it wasn’t really going to make a difference because this baby was coming.”
