Ashley Gorley Named ASCAP Country Music Songwriter Of The Year

Lauded hitmaker Ashley Gorley has been named ASCAP Country Music Songwriter of the Year for the eighth time.

Announcing the news, the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) noted the 58th Annual ASCAP Country Music Awards is being presented in a creative virtual format across all social media platforms. The four-day Social Media Event kicked off on November 9.

Gorley recently celebrated his 51st No.1 single (Lee Brice‘s “One of Them Girls”) making him the only songwriter in any genre to claim the top spot that many times in the history of the Billboard airplay charts.

Avenue Beat will appear in singular video tribute to the hit songwriter. Gorley will accept his award via video.

Old Dominion‘s “One Man Band” won the Country Music Song of the Year award, and Warner Chappell Music earned the ASCAP Country Music Publisher of the Year Award.

The ASCAP Country Music Awards will feature special performances by Carly Pearce and Matt Stell.
