Amanda Holden’s ex Les Dennis takes savage swipe at star after racy pics
May 15, 2023Les Dennis took a savage swipe at ex-wife Amanda Holden as he poked fun at some racy snaps she shared while on holiday in Paris.
Amanda, 52, shared a number of photos of her recent trip to the French capital as she posed in a stylish red satin minidress. One snap saw her drinking cocktails in a lavish bar while another saw the TV star draped over a piano.
Amanda's followers were quick to flood the comments section with compliments, as one said: "@noholdenback legs for days." And another commented: "Mum gone wild in Paris," whilst a third wrote: "SLAYYY."
In an apparent reference to his ex-wife's photos, Les, 69, tweeted a photo of himself sat in a dress room, which he captioned: "Not in Paris. In Leicester. #LesDennis"
Les's followers were quick to respond to the swipe, with one writing: "Keeping it real no protests like Paris."
Another replied: "I think you win the internet today Les. I’ll doubt you can get a good curry in Paris either" while a third wrote: "Better canals in Leicester. Don't know if it's still there, but there used to be a barge which sold great butties, not far from the Footy Ground. Might cheer you up ??"
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda married comedian Les Dennis in 1995, but five years later endured a very public separation, after her affair with co-star Neil Morrissey.
The five-week-long fling had begun whilst filming together on the set of the BBC film, Happy Birthday Shakespeare and ultimately lead to the breakdown of Amanda’s marriage.
Amanda has previously spoken about the public backlash she received after her affair became public knowledge, recalling: “I found the fall from grace incredibly hard to deal with. I can’t bear not to be liked. I had an affair and overnight turned into this awful person."
Amanda was 24 when she married Les, who was 42 at the time. Speaking about the age gap in an interview with The Times, the mum-of-two was asked whether had been looking for a sort of father figure in Les.
She said: “I don’t know because I’ve never done therapy, but there is a sort of safety in a relationship like that. I was very young and I had a lot to learn about life."
Previously opening up about the marriage and her affair, Amanda told the Daily Mail: “I brought it on myself, I appreciate that, but nothing will ever be as bad again.
“It was a very dark time. It got to the point where I felt I could hardly breathe. Les proved to be my saviour. Ironically. So the person I’d hurt the most in the world was the one who was there for me.”
