Alexandra Burke has taken to Instagram to thank fans for their support following her debut on SAS Who Dares Wins.

The former X Factor star, 33, is appearing in the current series of the hit Channel 4 show alongside the likes of writer and TV presenter Ulrika Jonsson, TV personalities Kerry Katona, Vicky Pattison and Jake Quickenden, and athlete James Cracknell.

Sharing snaps of her time on the show, Alexandra told fans that she "felt sick" watching the first episode when it aired over the weekend.

"I've had so many messages about the first episode of @sas_whodareswins – I've finally got around to watching it," she wrote.

"Can't lie, I felt sick knowing everyone is about to see what we all went through," she continued.

"Then I remembered how proud I felt leaving having been with the most amazing people and building such a lovely bond. Swipe for some of the behind the scenes before we started the journey…"

Her images show scenic views as the celebs battled the elements on a long hike as part of their eight days of tasks and interrogations.

But if her snaps are anything to go by, Alexandra seemed to be all smiles throughout the challenge.

Talking about her experience with Channel 4, she said: "Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins is the most challenging thing physically and mentally I have ever done.

"It was such a life changing experience and totally blew my mind. I would do the whole thing again in a heartbeat!”

Alexandra shot to fame in 2008 after winning the X Factor, and releasing a rendition of Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah, which shot up the Christmas charts.
