ALISON BOSHOFF: Hugh Dennis reveals all his friends ‘had their first sexual experiences’ while he was off making guitar straps as a teenager

Hugh Dennis is still aggrieved — some 40 years on — about a disappointing family holiday.

The Outnumbered star, 60, recalls that in the summer he was awaiting his A-level results, his parents decided they should all go on a crafting holiday in the Hebrides.

He told the podcast My Time Capsule: ‘I went to a disused post office on the island of Mull. I spent two weeks making a raffia guitar strap. And I didn’t even have a guitar.

‘Most of my mates were on a kibbutz, having their first sexual experiences. And I was making a raffia guitar strap off the north-west coast of Scotland.’

Hugh’s hit BBC show Outnumbered ended six years ago.

But it would seem there’s no love lost between the cast as the kids of the show looked unrecognisable in a reunion snap shared by Tyger Drew-Honey last month.

Taking to Instagram, the actor, 26 – who played the Brockmans’ eldest son Jake – posted photos with his TV siblings for a rare selfie.

Ramona shot the camera a wink, her light brown hair styled in a fringe, as she sported an easily glam look with winged eyeliner.

She kept it casual in a graphic print grey T-shirt, accessorised with chunky sliver chains.
