Bella Hadid Is Reviving the Rhinestone-Tattoo Trend

Bella Hadid is taking a page out of Hailey Bieber’s book and bringing rhinestone tattoos back. The supermodel posted a picture on Instagram with the caption “One time for the pradaa yaaddaaaassss.” In the photo, her tattoo sparkles next to her gorgeous clog heels. Hadid’s rhinestone tattoo took the shape of an intricate butterfly (á la Mariah Carey in the early 2000s) and was placed right above her hip on her lower abdomen.
As Y2K beauty trends continue making the rounds, crystal embellishments have exploded in popularity. Everything from crystal eye makeup to hair crystals are in vogue, and it’s not surprising that rhinestone tattoos are also making a return.
Hadid has shown countless times that she draws inspiration quite heavily from the Y2K aesthetic — see her zig-zag part and cutout bodysuit — so the rhinestone-tattoo trend is very on brand for her.
