Coronation Street fans ‘gutted’ as they miss half of soap because of scheduling changeMarch 15, 2019
CORONATION Street fans were left gutted this evening as they missed half of the soap because they didn’t realise it was on for an hour.
The show usually airs in two parts on a Friday evening, but this evening there was an hour long special ahead of next week’s dramatic episode.
But not everyone got the memo and took to Twitter to complain about their error.
One person wrote: “Just missed half of #Corrie. Didn't know it was on for an hour.”
A second commented: “F**king gutted … turned over at 8pm when #Corrie finished went for interval .. just turned back over for second episode and it was finishing. What an error didn’t realise it was on for an hour tonight!”
While a third wrote: “Coronation Street tricked us. Switched back to ITV just now only to realise it had been on for an hour and we'd turned over half way through #Corrie #CoronationStreet.”
Coronation Street tricked us. Switched back to ITV just now only to realise it had been on for an hour and we'd turned over half way through 😂 #Corrie #CoronationStreet
Just missed half of #Corrie. Didn't know it was on for an hour😡
During tonight’s tense one hour show, the residents of Weatherfield turned on factory owner Carla Connor (played by Alison King ).
She discovered her car window had been smashed but didn’t know who was behind.
It could however have been any number of people who have it in for her – including her staff at the factory.
Carla has been planning to make changes to the business by outsourcing production, much to the upset of her staff who are worried they may lose their job or suffer a pay cut.
Her business partner also has a vendetta against the beauty, after he finds out she is plotting to oust him from the company.
But it looks like Seb, Robert and even Gary could be behind it.
Next week the roof of the company will collapse in a dramatic episode, but whether it was given a helping hand in caving in or a genuine structural flaw is questioned after tonight's programme.
