Patty Mills hopes Canberra Capitals wipe floor with Adelaide LightningFebruary 12, 2019
The biggest name in the Canberra Capitals' floor moppers has jumped on the championship bandwagon, hoping they do exactly what he used to and sweep the court with the Adelaide Lightning.
San Antonio Spurs guard Patty Mills has backed the Capitals as they look to end their nine-year WNBL championship drought when they take on the Lightning in Adelaide in game two of the championship series on Wednesday night.

The Capitals thrashed the Lightning in game one on Saturday, their 12th win in a row, and they're just 40 minutes away from their eighth title.
Mills recalled his early years in Canberra, when he'd go and help out at Capitals games – hungry to watch good basketball as a kid.
It's part of the path that's seen him go on to win an NBA championship with the Spurs and also represent Australia.
"All the very best of luck. Just scrolling through social media and seeing old Capitals players re-post old photos of when they won and I remember being there as a supporter and a floor wiper too, so all the very best to the Canberra Capitals," Mills said from Memphis.
"It's obviously my upbringing watching the Capitals, just going to watch basketball and good basketball as a kid. That was very cool. All the best to the Canberra Capitals in the final."
