Barcelona want to sign Rashford for £100m this summer… and can use Nou Camp to woo the Man Utd striker tonightApril 16, 2019
BARCELONA have made Marcus Rashford their top transfer target and are planning a £100million move for the Manchester United star, according to reports.
The La Liga giants are hoping the glam of Camp Nou will help them secure the deal as they host the Red Devils in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-finals tie tonight.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer considers Rashford the key cog in his machine and will pull out all the stops necessary to keep him at Old Trafford.
The striker has been in a stunning form this season, scoring 13 goals and adding nine assists in all competitions.
But England international has one year left on his current deal, with the Red Devils holding an option to extend it for a further 12 months.
However, contract talks have been dragging on for months, putting Rashford's future at the club in doubt.
He has reportedly failed to pen a deal worth up to £300,000-a-week which United have put on the table.
And according to the Mirror, Barcelona are planning to swoop in and capitalise on the uncertainty surrounding the striker's contract situation.
The La Liga champs are hoping that Rashford will be blown away by the famed Nou Camp's glamour and Barca fans belting out their famous anthem tonight.
United are facing a herculean task, trying to overturn a one-goal deficit from the first leg of their Champions League quarter-finals tie.
But the Catalans are aware that bitter rivals Real Madrid have also been monitoring the United ace's situation.
SunSport has exclusively revealed Los Blancos are planning a £100m move for the striker.
But Barca might have an ace up their sleeves.
They are convinced that a potential inclusion of United transfer target Philippe Coutinho will get the deal over the line.
