Asda is selling a foot-long GIANT chocolate and caramel eclair – but it costs £5December 19, 2018
One forum user on deals websites hotukdeals joked: "10 servings… nah the wife could manage that in one!"
Another said: "Haha it's like ready meals that say serves 2 or 4… really it's only 1 meal!". While someone else commented: "I would love to have one all to myself".
The tasty choux pastry éclair is filled with chocolate mousse and a caramel flavour sauce, and topped with chocolate fondant, caramel flavour fudge icing and gold coloured sweet dusting.
It costs £5 online at Asda for the 476g eclair but that's a bit pricey considering you can pick up a box of four chocolate regular-sized eclairs at Asda for just £1.
Asda says the foot-long sweet treat is also available in selected stores.
But before you gobble down the eclair, it's worth noting that one portion size contains 146 calories and 8g of saturated fat.
According to the NHS, adults should eat no more than 2,000 calories a day and less than 20g of saturated fat.
Asda sold the foot-long eclair last Christmas when it also cost £5.
But it's not the only supermarket to get in on the action – earlier this year Iceland was selling eclairs filled with Baileys cream.
Marks & Spencer, meanwhile, has launched the first Chouxnut – a cross between an eclair and doughnut.
